Tetuang


Tetuang is blowing instrument like the trumpet. It is made from cow or buffalo horn, and is usually used for communication between fishermen in the East-Coast of Peninsula Malaysia. They blow the tetuang when it is time to go to sea. Nowadays, the tetuang is part of the wind instruments used to produce the 'drone' melody in an ensemble for procession in traditional and contemporary dramatic performance.
